About Laszlo Papp Was Born 100 Years Ago
Magyar Posta is marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of László Papp (1926–2003) by issuing a commemorative stamp. The stamp pays tribute to the Hungarian boxer and three-time Olympic champion, who gained international renown, bringing prestige to his country and his sport. Forty thousand copies of the stamp designed by the graphic artist Anita Laczkó were produced by the Pénzjegynyomda Zrt. printing company. The new issue goes on sale at Filaposta in Hungary, philately specialist services, certain post offices and www.posta.hu from 25 March 2026.
