2026International Day of the Blind - Set

October is the month when several days are observed worldwide to raise the awareness about the rights, dignity, and equal participation of blind and visually impaired persons in society. These international observances highlight the importance of accessibility, education, independent living, and the removal of barriers that limit the full realisation of human rights. The year 2026 marks two significant national anniversaries: the 80th anniversary of the Union of the Blind of Serbia and the 55th anniversary of the "Dr Milan Budimir" Specialised Library.
