Lion of Finland The four-euro stamp is one in the series of euro-denominated Lion stamps designed by Mika Launis. The other stamps issued in this series are the green two-euro, the purple five-euro, the orange three-euro and the blue one-euro Lion stamp.
"The Lion coat of arms stamp, which I originally designed as a competition entry, was intended to be adaptable and printable in many different colours. These were not among the criteria for Finland Post’s Lion coat of arms stamp competition, but the design philosophy of my stamp was based precisely on adaptability," Mika Launis reveals.
