About Romanian Postage Stamp Day 125 years - The “Victor Babes” National Institute
125 year ago, on 28 April 1887, the Pathology and Bacteriology Institute was founded in Bucharest, bearing today the name of its founder, Professor Victor Babes. It is the oldest scientific research institute of Romania, being in the vanguard of the human pathology and biomedical sciences research at national and international level.
