About Christmas
The Christmas 2016 stamp issue reproduces images of the Nativity of Jesus Christ from three paintings by Maltese artist Joseph Pulo.
Joseph Pulo, was born in 1947 and studied at the Malta Government School of Art, where he was taught by some of the leading artists of the time. His earlier career was characterised by the hard edge technique, which features abrupt transitions between colour areas and is related to geometric abstraction.
