During the Soviet occupation, Lithuanians did not lack patriotism and determination to defend the country's freedom. Initially, compatriots tried to resist using weapons, but the occupiers quickly suppressed this method. Armed resistance was followed by other tests called "silent resistance." To this day, many steps of Lithuanian resistance are known, the events that accompanied them in the struggle for a free Lithuania.
