About 100 Years of Fragonard Perfumery

For over 20 years, the French postal service's Heart Stamp series has embodied a French tradition: sending love by mail, with style, elegance, and emotion. For 2026, La Poste is partnering with another French institution: Maison Fragonard, perfumers in Grasse since 1926, which is celebrating its centenary this year.

Inspired by the flower fields of Provence, the Maison's perfume expertise, and its iconic archives, this 2026 Heart Stamp celebrates a century of fragrance, color, and joy.

Radiant, floral, and modern, this stamp features a bouquet of Fragonard's favorite flowers, enhanced by a radiant heart: an invitation to share a little sunshine and happiness with every message. The stamps are scented with orange blossom, Maison Fragonard's signature fragrance since 2004, extending the poetry right into the hand of the recipient. They are further enhanced by the application of hot foil stamping.

Founded in Grasse in 1926, Fragonard is one of the last traditional perfume houses still operating in the world capital of perfume. For a century, it has cultivated a passion for flowers, colors, and natural materials, maintaining a close connection with Provence, an inexhaustible source of scents and inspiration. Fragonard's historic postcards, distributed throughout France from the 1960s onward, bear witness to the long-standing link between the house and the art of letter writing. Some were even scented thanks to a detachable tab, carrying the fragrance of Grasse far beyond its fragrant hills. With this new heart-shaped stamp, Fragonard symbolically revives this tradition: sending happiness, memories, and a touch of perfume by mail.

Green Letter stamps are used to send mail within France.
