About Fauna - Birds

Songbirds are an order of flying birds, which in the lower part of the throat have developed loud organ. This order includes more than half of all birds. Most species of birds are small to medium size that build very complex, magnificent and beautiful nests. Are distinguished by the way of life.

Blackbird

Nightingale

Nests are placed on low trees and fruits. It feeds on various seeds especially rich in oil.

Skylark

Skylark (Alauda arvensis) grows up to 18 cm, it is visitant, in our region from March to October. Male unlike females have larger wings. For now it is still a common bird, but is at the stage of slow disappearance due to habitat destruction. These birds usually live in the country, move on her and feed. According to certain parts of the body (like the legs) are different from other singers. Feathers are gray brown, has stripes on the upper parts of the chest and white belly. Most live in groups or individually, or in close proximity to each other. The food is varied, grasshoppers, butterflies, insects and the like, and in winter a variety of seeds. It nests twice a year and make nests in hollows in the ground, grass and stems of other plants. The song of skylark is varied and rich, lasts from two to three minutes, but as we approach the end of the hatching season, the song is extended.
