About The legends of Latvian sports - Alberts Rumba
Alberts Rumba (1892-1962) is one of the most outstanding Latvian speed skaters and notable sports figures of the 1920s–1940s. His first major achievement was winning 7th place in the all-around speed skating event at the First Winter Olympics (1924, Chamonix, France), and he was the only Latvian representative to also participate in the Winter Olympics in 1928 in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
