About Dore Paris Salon Philex

The gold block is a block specially issued for the Paris Philex philatelic exhibition, held every two years at Porte de Versailles. This block is unique in that it reprints intaglio dies, both historical and more recent, most often from the collections of the Postal Museum. It is complemented by an original design in the background, enhanced by hot foil stamping, which gives it its name. This design aims to showcase the printing expertise and to be a highly aesthetic representation of Paris.

Following Paris in 2016 (general view), the Grand Palais in 2018, Notre-Dame Cathedral in 2020, Parisian palaces in 2022, and the Arc de Triomphe in 2024, the 2026 block will celebrate the Left Bank of Paris with three stamps depicting monuments along the quays (National Assembly, Musée d'Orsay, Institut de France, and the Hôtel de la Monnaie).
