In the centre of the painting, which was baptized in the media “only to people with strong nerves”, a huge palace made out of human bodies and which represent the State is depicted – this is our history, consisting of the lives of people who created it. Next to the palace, there is Rūpintojėlis that looks like Š. Sauka and is wounded and dripping with puss. Underneath his legs, ordinary people of the society of various epochs and times, such as writer Žemaitė, poet Julius Janonis, singer Virgilijus Noreika, poet Bernardas Brazdžionis, presidents Antanas Smetona, Aleksandras Stulginskis and Kazys Grinius, composer Juozas Naujalis, historian Simonas Daukantas, philosopher Vydūnas, artist and composer Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, pilots Steponas Darius and Stasys Girėnas, poet Salomėja Nėris, linguist Jonas Jablonskis, doctor Jonas Basanavičius, priest and poet Maironis, writers Vaižgantas and Balys Sruoga, poets Paulius Širvys, Cardinal Vincentas Sladkevičius and many more. This scene in the left hand corner of the picture is observed by a girl in a bright dress who is thinking – she is the future of Lithuania.
