About 2019 Niue Moon Landing 50 Years Set of Mint Stamps

In 2019 the world celebrates 50 years since the first Moon landing.

On Tuesday 2 July 2019, the Moon - Mahina - will block the sun over the South Pacific Ocean, Chile and Argentina for a partial solar eclipse, and Niue will be one of the best locations from which to view it. It will be 50 years prior, in July 1969, the Apollo 11 mission took the first humans to the surface of Mahina.

The world awaits the launch of Saturn V on 16 July 1969.

$1.40 Lift-off

$2.00 The Moon Walk
Man walks on the Moon for the first time.

$4.00 Landing
The Apollo 11 mission safely returned to Earth on 24 July 1969.
