Shusha, one of the oldest and most beautiful cities of Azerbaijan, is rich in historical, cultural, religious monuments and architectural examples. Yuxari Govhar Aga Mosque, the oldest mosque built in the territory of the city, can also be found in the works of artist Vasili Vereshagi. The drawings provide information about the architectural-artistic features of the mosque, the structure and appearance of the minarets. In his painting "Tatars during worship" it is possible to see the space and interior planning of Shusha Juma Mosque's constructive structure and the rich plasticity and fabulous decorations of the interior.
