Harvest Thanksgiving
With the “Harvest Thanksgiving” permanent stamp series, Philately Liechtenstein celebrates the close connection between people, nature, and agriculture. The four designs represent key areas of agricultural production and highlight how strongly the country remains shaped by regional farming and traditional cultivation practices to this day. The “Vegetable Farming” stamp (face value CHF 1.70) showcases the diversity of local vegetable production. It symbolizes meticulous manual labor, regional supply, and the responsible use of natural resources.
“Crop farming” (face value CHF 3.10) forms an important foundation of regional agriculture; fields and grain crops have shaped Liechtenstein's landscape for centuries. “Viticulture” (face value CHF 4.30) is also a traditional form of agriculture with a long history in Liechtenstein. It combines artisanal skill with the unique climatic conditions of the Alpine Rhine Valley. The fourth stamp, “Fruit growing” (face value CHF 6.80), showcases the diversity of local fruit crops. Orchards and fruit gardens shape the landscape in many places and simultaneously stand for regional quality, sustainability, and living tradition. The series is intended as a sign of appreciation for agriculture and serves as a reminder of the importance of nature, harvest, and regional food supply.
