OÜ Mootor, founded on 19 January, was a transport company operating in Tallinn from 1926 to 1940. In the 1930s, it became the largest transport company in Estonia, employing more than 300 people. According to some sources, the company was even regarded as “the largest enterprise of its kind in the Baltic region, including Finland”. Until its nationalisation in 1940, it operated all local and long-distance routes in Tallinn. Part of the bus fleet was destroyed during the battles of 1941, and some of the smaller buses were taken to the Soviet Union. At least four former large long-distance Scania-Vabis buses continued to operate in Tallinn even after the Second World War. The First Day Cover depicts Scania-Vabis bus No. 94 with 51 seats, which operated on the Nõmme route in 1938.
