About Tourism

Porto Montenegro is a project on development of settlements around a marina and a home port for yachts with great perspective designed to meet the sophisticated needs of all yachts, their owners, guests and the crew, with additional infrastructure for the largest yachts. It is located in Tivat, in the sheltered Bay of Kotor, which is a UNESCO protected site and it is the deepest natural port in the Mediterranean. The entire project includes construction of 630 berths for yachts of all sizes, 130 of which will be for yachts over 30 meters long. The Montenegro Post is publishing a commemorative postage stamp under the title “Porto Montenegro” within the edition “Tourism” containing two stamps and two First Day envelopes. The author of the conceptual design is Milena Kaluđerović Tonić, a graphic designer from Cetinje.

The project called “The Peaks of the Balkans” won the first prize “Tourism for the Future” of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) at the summit under the topic of “A Time for Leadership” in April 2013 in Abu Dhabi. The “Tourism for the Future” award is one of the world's top awards in the field of travel and tourism and is aimed at recognizing the best tourism practices in sustainable tourism within the global tourism industry. The project included Hajla mountain, as part of the Prokletije massif. Hajla is a mountain located on the border between Montenegro and Serbia - Kosovo and Metohija and belongs to the north-eastern range of Prokletije. The Montenegro Post is publishing a commemorative postage stamp under the title “Hajla” within the edition “Tourism” containing two stamps and two First Day envelopes. The author of the conceptual design is Milena Kaluđerović Tonić, a graphic designer from Cetinje.
