2024250th Anniversary of Aleksije Lazović’s Birth - Set

Aleksije Lazović (1774–1837) is a notable figure from the renowned Lazović family of painters, who painted the interiors of a large number of churches and monasteries in Montenegro, Central Dalmatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Western Serbia during the 18th and 19th centuries. It is assumed that he was born in Bijelo Polje. He acquired the basics of his painting knowledge from his father Simeon, and it is believed that he further honed his skills as a painter in Dubrovnik.
