Swamp Gromizelj is located near the village of Velino, Municipality of Bijeljina, in the far northeast of the Republic of Srpska. The area is located in Semberija, which represents the alluvial plain formed by the confluence of the rivers Drina and Sava rivers. Swamp is an ellipse, 1,650 meters long, with a maximum width of 760 meters. The only permanent body of water on the site Laketic whirpool, with a maximum depth of 4 meters. Swamp Gromizelj with the environment is characterized by distinct flora and fauna diversity. Flora diversity is reflected in the presence of over 400 different plant species, among which are present endangered and rare species.
