150 Years of Red Cross of Montenegro

The Red Cross of Montenegro has been operating as a humanitarian organisation for 150 years, dedicated to providing assistance to the most vulnerable. Its mission is grounded on the principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, unity, voluntary service, independence and universality – the core principles of the world’s largest humanitarian movement, of which it has been a member since 1875. Through its programmes in first aid, social welfare, education and emergency response, the Red Cross provides support to communities throughout the country. It actively contributes to health promotion, voluntary blood donation and the protection of human rights.

This 150th anniversary stands as a testament to the enduring commitment of the Red Cross to the citizens of Montenegro, as well as to those who have found a second home in our country.
