About The Centenary of the Jadran Swimming Water Polo Club

The “Jadran” Swimming Water Polo Club was founded on July 8, 1922, on the Milašinović beach, on Topla, in Herceg Novi, as the Jadran Sports Club.Today, the club represents the flagship of Montenegrin swimming and water polo sports, having won 33 national titles, 2 regional leagues, with many years of participation in the finals of the Euro League and the Euro Cup. As such, it is the pride of Herceg Novi and Montenegrin sports.“Jadran” made a huge contribution to the formation of national teams, and gave rise to a plethora of players, members of the professional staff and the leadership of the association.

It produced 38 Olympians from its ranks, of which 34 were water polo players, and 4 swimmers.Montenegro Post, upon the initiative of PVK “Jadran”, publishes a commemorative edition for special occasions “The Centenary of the “Jadran” Swimming Water Polo Club”, which contains a commemorative stamp and the first day cover.Design by: Romana Pehar, a painter from Kotor
