About 25 years of the restoration of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church

On 27 December 1990, the Committee for the Renewal of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church was founded in Cetinje, and Dušan Gvozdenović was elected as the President of the Committee. The establishment of this Committee was the first step towards restoring autocephaly of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church, forcibly abolished in 1920 by a decree of Regent Aleksandar Karađorđević. The Montenegro Post is publishing a commemorative edition containing a postage stamp and a First Day envelope within the edition “25 years since the renewal of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church”. The author of the conceptual design is Ana Pajović Kljajić, a graphic designer from Podgorica.
