2026The Bull - Miniature Sheet

On January 15, 2026, PostNL will issue the "The Bull" stamp sheet featuring the eponymous painting by Paulus Potter. Each of the five personalized stamps features a denomination of "1" for mail weighing up to 20 grams and destined for the Netherlands. The stamps were designed by graphic designer Frank Janse from Gouda.

The design of the "The Bull" stamp sheet was created by graphic designer Frank Janse from Gouda. He has depicted the painting of the same name in its entirety on the sheet's margin, extending below the five stamps. The stamps themselves feature portraits of the various protagonists in the painting: the cow, the oak tree, the farmer, the bull, and the sheep. The characters are described in large capital letters on the stamps, using a rich yellow color. The same typography is used on the margin of the sheet, alongside the green frog, the lark, and the willow. On the sheet edge and the stamps, next to, above or below the title of the issue, The Bull, the name of the painter Paulus Potter is also shown.
